Martin Dehmler
Martin Dehmler began developing his woodworking skills in his native upstate New York before moving to California’s Monterey Peninsula in 1977, where he was employed by a prominent Carmel design/build firm. Soon Martin was leading their cabinet shop work on high-end commercial and residential projects, and in 1987, he launched Martin Dehmler Fine Cabinetmaking.
In his decades as a Peninsula resident and local craftsman, Martin earned a reputation for extraordinary work as a custom furniture and cabinetmaker, leaving his imprint on beautiful homes on the Monterey Peninsula, Big Sur coast, and in San Francisco. His work has been featured in publications such as California Beach Houses: Style, Interiors, and Architecture by Pilar Viladas and Mark Darley. In 2023 Martin partnered with David Rivetti to launch Dehmler Rivetti, a continuation of Martin’s passion for designing and building fine furniture and exclusive architectural woodworking for leading architects and interior designers.
David Rivetti
Dave completed his formal training at the Michael Coffey School of Fine Woodworking in Vermont. Upon completion he became an apprentice to Coffey and worked on many of his commissioned furniture pieces. Dave then relocated to New York and opened his own cabinetmaking business in Manhattan and operated that for several years before entering into the contract furniture industry. Dave founded a Pittsburgh-based Knoll dealership and was president of his company for many years.
Dave and his family relocated to California in 1994. He remained in the contract furniture business until 1998, when he began working as an educational and institutional facilities director on the Central Coast and did that until 2011. That year he was hired as a consultant to a high-end residential builder in Los Angeles. Following that, he worked as a principal for a prestigious national builder and most recently, a senior advisor to a prominent owner’s representative firm.
